Boyfriend depression comfort

Hey,
My girlfriend boyfriend has depression, I mean he has it bad. They've met throug a dating service.
She keeps asking me what to do to help him, so I told her to take him out and to see a psychotherapist.
But she says he's refusing to see a doctor and refuses to take depression medication.
I told her I've been dating a depressed woman once and psychoterapy was very efficient so she reported my story to his boyfriend but he still doesn't want to change his mind.
She feels very bad about been unable to help him. She's actually saying he should have used a dating-express for depressed people app
She gets a bit evil when she talks aboout him but she loves him and I would like their couple getting better.
What can I do ? Please help me
